Puddlejumpers captures your child's imagination, with dynamic activities, designed to bridge the natural connection between music, movement, and early learning.

At Puddlejumpers, you and your child will make friends while you:

sing and bounce
join in circle and group dances
explore instruments, such as bells, shakers, drums and castanets
learn some early music concepts, such as high and low, loud and soft, long and short
find your sense of rhythm

Jump Start programs over-lap in their age groups, so your son or daughter has the option of staying in longer in a parent-participation setting, or moving ahead to the Cycle of Seasons class, where you will come for sharing time for the last 15 minutes of each class. The following list will help you to know if your child is ready to move on: (Not every child will have mastered every one of these, check with your teacher if you have any questions or concerns.)

Your child should use words and gestures to indicate his or her needs.
Your child is speaking in sentences, using 4 or 5 words and can follow two step directions well.
Your child recognizes the needs of others (at least sometimes) and is able to empathize and take turns most of the time.
Your child knows if he is a boy or girl
Your child can do simple matching games and knows a few shapes and colors

Puddlejumpers is a sixteen week, 45 minute program, starting in September and February and has a 6 or 8 week summer option.

Parents or caregivers join in the fun each week.

Your child is able to separate from you without crying. **(Some transition may be required.)
Your child can sing a simple song or rhyme
Your child can balance on one foot and can jump in one place (two feet) without falling.
Your child is able to sit for 5 minutes in a designated spot
Your child must be at least 3 years old within two weeks of the start of the program
