At
Jump Start, we believe in teaching music as a language. This
means giving kids the skills and opportunity to understand
and express themselves musically, not just memorize and play-
the old torture we are all familiar with from our childhood! Jump
Start's Keyboard
class is a fun approach to musical literacy, that will give
your child a positive foundation to continue musical studies.
In
Keyboard
class , your child will learn to
internalize music, and build musical literacy skills through keyboard
play, fun activities, and musical games that consist of:
building
on layers of rhythm, and tonal patterns, using songs and percussion
instruments (drums, etc.) and transfering them to the keyboard
vocal
exploration, and singing, using solfege (do-re-mi), to be able
to know what the notes are, not just memorize them.
